Marvolo... Tom's middle name. Isn't it just unique? And Riddle as the last name is quite correct. He is a particually hard riddle to solve.

Fred and George's name's are too plain, I think. (Although, I have heard that there was a couple who named their twins "Fish" and the other "Chips". I also heard a couple were forced to re-name their child because they called her "Tahula Does The Hula In Hawaii". People who have normal names should be happy they don't have embarrassing ones.)

I don't remember anything in the books that said Sirius' middle name. However, his father's name was Orion, so it's probably just fanon because of that.

Meh. I agree with Lild. JKR has something against Slytherins. She went through 7 books talking about school unity and suddenly most of the Slytherins did not get redeemed. In addition to the non-existence of middle names. Bleh.

I personally love the name Tom Riddle. Then again, it might because I love the character. XD But I don't really like Marvolo. It's just...Bleh....IMO.

Well I'm not sure how it works in other languages, but if you pick up a "Baby Name Book" you might find out that you are named something like that (looking at the meaning of whatever name you have, that is.)

My name, for example, apparently means "pure." *rolls eyes*

But I've seen names with meanings like "Beautiful" or "Gift from God" or "Country Meadow" or "Hope," etc.

Here a baby naming book is a big ol list of baby names (some with the meanings listed I think), it's oddly literal and makes people sometimes name their kids really freakish things.

Yeah, I know about the baby meaning things. However, most people don't know that (what your name means that is). In Chinese, on the other hand, people knows exactly what your name means (which could be quite embarrassing sometimes if your parents decided to give you high inappropriate names).

Then again, I'm reminded of Pantyhose from Ranma 1/2. =.=...

The only Slytherin I recall with a middle name is Tom. His middle name is not that grand though so...bleh...=.=...

Yeah, I knew the legend behind Narcissus...but it's just freaky when it's a guy. When it's a girl, it's not as freaky. XD

I guess I got freaked out by Tonks' name because it didn't really suit her. If it was...I don't know...some nymph-like character then it wouldn't have been as weird.

I like the name Nymphadora, too. Although she herself hates it and prefers to be called Tonks.

What really ticks me off, though, is the name 'Cho Chang'. It's not very creative.

Ugh, Cho Chang is a sucky name. I would hate to be called that.

I read somewhere that the guy Luna marries... His name. I can't remember it, but I remember HATING it with a passion. Oh, yeah, and I love Luna's name.
