Where the 7th movie should be cut...

Ok well since there were no topics here I thought I'd add one...hope it's ok for me to do this! Sorry Elle and Marius if I'm not meant to....

So basically where would you split the 7th book, because they are making it into two movies and I know that my friends and I have had huge debates over where it should be cut.

I'm thinking somewhere close to where Ron leaves...or maybe just after he comes back and they've destroyed the locket....

Your thoughts??

I'm thinking before or after they've found out about the deathly hallows from Luna's dad. Or the suggestion above.

Wherever it is the next better come out soon after! There's mostly no where that they could cut it properly... but (not to be cynical or anything) they're probably going to mess it all up anyway so they can cut it whereever they want!

I'm partial to cutting it after they destroy the horcrux. It's sort of a... happy place to end it, I suppose. Plus then you'd have a definite introduction into the second part, them debating what to do next and all.

That said, I agree with Quik... I can't say the movies are totally totally awful (they have their good bits... or maybe that's just me needing to find the good in everything) but they're nothing compared to the books. *sigh*

Oh harry potter. If only my best friend and I had written that sixth and seventh movie screenplay in time...

It should cut at a cliff-hanger. Something bad.

I'm guessing somewhere around when Ron comes back as well. They could be really evil and cut it off when the Trio had been caught by Voldemort's people so we don't get to see the Malfoy Manor until the next part. (I don't have the books with me right now so I'm just thinking off the top of my mind. @@)

Or what about just after they enter Malfoy Manor, and they come face to uh... face with Voldie??

My mate Jade is convinced that they'll cut it after Ron comes back. For some reason I have this feeling she's right.

I guess it really depends on how evil they want to be. Knowing Warner Bros., they could be quite evil. Bah. I can't be talking since I've been "flaunting" my unhealthy love for cliffies these days anyway.

But yeah. I'm curious about the Malfoy Manor.

After Ron comes back is approximately where they've got taken to the Malfoy Manor, no?

I think it was a few weeks (or months. or days. I'm not sure, my whole concept of time within that book is screwed up) after Ron came back when they get caught. It's after they listened to the radio show, which I'm pretty pretty sure wasn't right away.

I can't wait to see Malfoy Manor either... if they cut/change that part, I will be very, very, very upset. Hmph.

Urgh...and it's possible for them to cut it. Because it's Warner Bros. Meh. >.<....
