A non-stop marathon

How 'bout this one:

Mice are famous for their ability to multiply at breakneck speeds. The type of mouse we have here gives birth once a month, birthing 12 babies each time. Baby mice mature and can give birth two months after they are born.

You picked up one of these cute baby mice at the pet shop and brought it home the day after it was born. In 10 months from now, how many mice will you have?

I'm going to guess 'still one' since it takes two to mate. lol =P

-there's illness and vaccines but not ailments nor medicines
-there'are kisses but no hugs
-there're riddles but no rhymes
-there're etiquette and manners but no rough housing

-there's an aardvark, a deer, a sheep, and a stallion, but no anteater, springbok, lamb or mare.

What is behind the green glass door is any word that has a double letter in it. I mean as in "Sheep" has two "e"s right next to each other. Like "green", "glass" and "door".
