Serpent In Red Empty Serpent In Red

Post by SerpentInRed Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:19 am

(I love copy and paste =.=...)

I've written a one-shot for this other forum that I used to go to. Then, I've stopped for a while and concentrated reading Dramione fanfics (especially when I knew that J.K. Rowling was definitely going to put Hermione with Ron *glares at canon*). One day, I happened to come across a Voldemort/Hermione fanfic and fell in love with the pairing and thus my entrance into the world of writing chapters and chapters of weird imaginations that randomly pops into my head.

Let's see what I would need here.

Disclaimer: Anything you recognize in the fanfics, do not belong to me whatsoever. They belong to J.K. Rowling and whatever companies has Harry Potter copyrighted under them.

Writing Style: I try to stay consistent with grammar throughout the fanfic. I sometimes would go into details too much and some of my sentences might sometimes be too long. However, if it is pointed out to me in a kind manner, I would definitely change it. I try to stay as true to the canon as I can. I've taken online tests and stuff and had been analyzed to have sarcastic and dark humor so some of it might "accidentally" work its way into my writing. I'm more comfortable in writing from a third-person view and the characters would voice their feelings and thoughts through either saying it out loud or in italics as thoughts.

Author's Notes: I do not acknowledge the fact that there probably is an epilogue for Deathly Hallows (although I've heard many rumors about there being one).

I despise plagiarism. Therefore, if there's something that I've written that is very similar to something else someone else had written, I would appreciate it if someone can tell me and point out the source where I had accidentally plagiarized from.

Serpent In Red Empty Re: Serpent In Red

Post by SerpentInRed Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:20 am

Fanfiction Username: Serpent In Red
Title: All He Saw (found under "Prisms of Darkness")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 2,247
Summary: The war was over. Hermione did not want to live, but she knew that she had to keep fighting no matter what.

Extract:

He was trying to tempt her. As alluring as the deal seemed to her, Hermione was not going to give in. She already felt guilty for living while others perished. She was not going to let another issue haunt her conscious.

“You are as stubborn as Bella had told me,” he snarled as he threw her on to the floor. Hermione grimaced when she hit the floor but she was not going to give him the satisfaction of hearing her scream. “I could kill you as easily as I had killed the others. Don’t forget that you are a Mudblood. I’m only allowing you to live because I see the potential inside of you.”

“Then kill me,” she answered as she turned around and looked at him venomously. To her surprise, a high, cold laugh replied to her instead of the infamous green light.

“Ms. Granger,” he said softly as he bent down towards her. “You are truly naïve. Why would I kill you when there are many, many more things to be done to you?” He stood up again and waved his wand at her, cleaning her up. “You are to follow beside me from now on.” Hermione looked at him in disbelief. He looked at her with his crimson eyes. “You shall see the magnificence of the Dark Arts with your own eyes.”

(Much longer on Fanfiction.net but it's basically a collection of one-shots...If I've posted more, the whole thing would be here =P...)

Title: All Hers (found under "Prisms of Darkness")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 1702 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: Looking at the years after Hermione followed Voldemort from Bellatrix’s point of view. Bellatrix finally understood that her place in the Dark Lord’s heart was moved. She, however, was not going to go down without a fight.

Extract:

Bellatrix Lestrange had been wrong.

She had waited. She panicked internally when she heard about the Dark Lord taking the Mudblood Granger with him to everywhere he went. She told herself that it was a matter of days before the Dark Lord would be finished torturing the girl and would end her life. It was not that hard to break down a filthy little Mudblood. After she broke down, the Dark Lord would kill her. The place at his arms would be rightfully hers again within days.

Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years.

For seven years, the Mudblood followed the Dark Lord while she stood at the sidelines, becoming increasingly vindictive. For the first four years, Bellatrix could still tell herself that there was nothing between the Dark Lord and Granger. The day when the girl appeared at the Quidditch World Cup (something which the Dark Lord had kept despite his disinterest of the sport), Bellatrix finally felt the danger of her position.

Although Granger still walked around with a look of defiance on her face, there was something else in her eyes.

Bellatrix understood that emotion. It was the same emotion she garnered for her Lord. The older witch felt a feeling of disgust when she noticed that she shared something with someone with impure blood. However, that feeling was quickly overcome by the threat she was faced with.

The Dark Lord watched the match between Bulgaria and Luxemburg nonchalantly but she caught the glances he had thrown at Granger when the girl moved.

No. Bellatrix finally found out that her place in Lord Voldemort’s heart had been moved.

She, nevertheless, was not a witch to go down without a fight.

Title: Her Path (found under "Eternity, A Thousand Feelings")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 1,810 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: Hermione had known a long time ago that she was walking down the wrong path. Nevertheless, it was the road she had chosen and she had no other choice. Her frustrations further increased when he finally decided to lock her up…

Extract:

After he had died, rumors started to spread. Some people claimed that the boy was the one who murdered the rest of his friends. However, the guilt soon overwhelmed him and he killed himself. Nevertheless, no one could explain just why the boy died. There were no apparent injuries on him nor any signs of being poisoned. In fact, doctors were called in to check on him by the boy’s parents and the doctor left with a befuddled expression claiming that nothing was wrong with the young man.

So the rumors continue to spread, regardless of what the truth was. It really did not matter since the villagers always enjoyed a good story, as long as they were not told to investigate on the truthfulness of the story themselves.

Therefore, it was no wonder that on the night of Halloween, two years after the death of the boy, no one inspected the voices and bright lights that came from the direction of the mansion and the graveyard.

It started with a low murmur of “Lumos” at the edge of the hill that led to mansion. A figure clad in black made her way towards the mansion after she had lit her wand. Even before she entered the mansion, she could already hear the screams of a victim being tortured.

She closed her eyes and opened them again.

What path had I chosen? She asked herself for the thousandth time. She knew she was walking down the wrong path. However, no matter what, she could not and would not leave him.

Title: Imprisonment (found under "Eternity, A Thousand Feelings")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 1,474 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: She was locked up by him for almost fifty years. Day by day, she wished that the wards around the little so-called paradise would go away. The price she had to pay for that to happen, however, proved to be a little too much for her.

Extract:

The cabin she was living in was located on the top of some mountain. The place was strangely beautiful and peaceful with a small stream on one side of the cottage. The only season she had seen while she was there was spring. Therefore, flowers bloomed throughout the whole year. It was almost like some sort of mythical place she had read about.

Hermione was mesmerized by the place but it did not stop her from cursing or worrying whenever she thought about the things that were happening outside of the wards he had conjured around the area.

The wards were not only to prevent other people from finding her. It also prevented her from ever stepping out of this little so-called paradise.

He always brought her books when he visited to keep her entertained while he was gone. It never took her too long to finish the books since they were immensely interesting and she also wanted to spend some time looking for ways out of the wards.

She had tried many ways to get out of her prison. Yet, she knew that as intelligent as she was, she did not know as much Dark magic as he did. She was pretty sure that that was what he had used to trap her here.

Title: Silence (found under "Eternity, A Thousand Feelings")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 1,838 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: His shadows still follow her after his death. Sequel to "Her Path" and "Imprisonment".

Extract:

Sometimes, she wondered if she was a masochist.

That thought would always bring a smile to her lips as she sat in the rocking chair on the third floor of the Riddle mansion. She would look out of the window overlooking the graveyard, stare at the sun until it set, and watch the moon rise.

What else could she be? Falling in love with a renowned sadist, she could not be anything but masochistic.

However, her acts of self-torture had reached a completely new level when she decided to move back to the Riddle mansion, two years after his death.

It was three years since he had died. Most of the Death Eaters were already thrown in Azkaban. Yet, once in a while, she would still see one or two of them walking around in the midst of normal wizards and witches. Apparently, the Ministry was having a hard time rounding up all of them. It was not unexpected since not many people had the privilege of knowing the identity of every single Death Eater.

They seemed surprised to see her, although they did not know that her astonishment was greater than theirs when they slightly bowed to her. She supposed that their allegiance to him had not diminished.

Even though he was dead.

Title: Her Jealousy (found under "Prisms of Darkness")
Rating: T
Chapters: 1
Words: 1,192 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: Comes after “All He Saw” and “All Hers.”

Extract:

The darkness in the room wrapped around her eyes as if she was blindfolded. She felt like a wounded lioness, lying on the ground, wearing pieces of rags on her body.

“Fit for a filthy little Mudblood like you,” the older witch had spat out at her the first day she was thrown into this cage.

The vindictive woman’s words dripped of hatred, her scent of envy. The witch was wrapped completely in the color of the House of Slytherin. She was surrounded a green world of jealousy and left with nothing but spite and vengefulness.

For a whole month, Hermione Granger had been tortured by one of Lord Voldemort’s favorite Death Eaters. It was a game the Slytherin woman relentlessly played. As long as the Gryffindor still held on to her sanity, Bellatrix Lestrange was not going to stop inflicting pain on the bane of her existence.

“He never notices me because of you. You’re nothing but a filthy Mudblood, but all he thinks about is you,” the female Death Eater snarled as she kept the Cruciatus Curse on the Muggle-born witch.

Was he really thinking about her?

A sardonic smile appeared on her face as she looked in the Bellatrix's direction, even though every single cell in her body felt as if it was being ripped apart.

She was luckier than the Slytherin then. Although the older witch was free, the Dark Lord’s thoughts were still not on her.

Title: Loyalty (found under "Prisms of Darkness")

Chapters: 1
Words: 2,018 (with A/N and Disclaimer)
Summary: Comes after “All He Saw”, “All Hers”, and “Her Jealousy.”

Extract:

Another scream ripped through the air, disturbing the silence, similar to how the rumbling thunder outside interfered with the rhythm of the steadily falling rain.

He was accustomed to screams. Torture was part of his life. Without it, he was like a fish out of water, gasping for oxygen, but never receiving it.

For the first time in his life, however, the shrieks did not bring him any pleasure.

“You filthy little Mudblood!” he heard the shrill voice of his wife say, followed by another groan of pain.

No, it did not bring him the elation he usually got from hearing the waning breath of prisoners.

In fact, all he felt was angst.

He was scared.

It was perhaps strange to think of Rodolphus Lestrange being afraid. However, no one could possibly blame him. Everyone in the Wizarding World feared the Dark Lord.

He leaned back into the chair and looked out the window. It was difficult to see the rain through the curtains but he could still hear it spattering loudly against the glass and on the grounds. The heavy cloud cover that blocked out the sun seemed to be untouched by the winds that whistled through the unseen cracks of the house.

Sometimes, he wondered if the clouds were an omen of what was going to happen. It had not stopped raining since his wife captured the prisoner of their master.

His eyes flickered towards the prison on the second floor. It was as if he could see what his wife currently was doing to the cherished Mudblood, the woman that caused whispers amongst those who were loyal to He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named.

Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months.

The only thing he could do was watch from the sidelines while his wife did as her heart desired.

And the uneasy feeling never subsided.
